An A-Z Guide to the Search for Plato's Atlantis

The Identity of the Atlanteans has been a source of constant debate with suggestions ranging from the Cro-Magnons, the megalith builders and the ancient Irish to the Phoenicians, the Minoans and the early Egyptians, with so many others in between. I suggest that the most fruitful approach to solving this problem would be to first focus on trying to determine the date of the demise of Atlantis. This should reduce the proposed candidates to a number that might allow the objective application of the balance of probabilities to determine the most likely identity of the Atlanteans.
