Pomponius Mela (c.100 AD) was a Spanish-Roman historian whose work The Description of the World (Chorographia) is the earliest surviving geographical work in Latin, expresses his support for Atlantis and even indicates a general area where it was to be found, namely, in the southern temperate zone.
