Folliot, Katherine A. (L)
Katherine A. Folliot may only be a pen-name as the copyright to Atlantis Revisited is vested in a Katherine Beaton. She argues cogently in that 1984 book[054], that the large ‘island’ of Atlantis was in fact the Iberian Peninsula. Folliot claims that her approach is different as she is basing her conclusions on a study of the Greek text rather than any vernacular translation. As I have pointed out elsewhere, this method is devalued by the fact that the earliest Greek texts available today are only translations of Latin versions that in turn were translations of even earlier Greek texts that had been brought from the East and have been lost for centuries. Leaving aside this weakness Folliot has produced a carefully reasoned book that has received far less attention than it deserves.
