Kondratov, A. M.

Alexandr Mikhailovich Kondratov (1937-1993) was a Russian linguist and journalist with an interest in ancient history among a range of subjects. In 1978 he published The Riddles of Three Oceans in which part 3 deals with the Atlantic and Mediterranean, and includes a valuable review of the submerged islands and cities found in both those bodies of water and also frequently touches on the subject of Atlantis. The full text of an English translation is available online(b).

He has written a number of books on a variety of his interests including the 1986 book, Atlantis of the Tethys Sea. In it, he reviews the history of Atlantology. Twelve excerpts are available online(a), which, although in Russian, translate quite well with Google. Two more Atlantis related books were to follow.
