He specified the Do\u00f1ana Marshes, where, coincidentally, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/kuhne-dr-rainer-walter\/\">K\u00fchne<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wickboldt-werner\/\">Wickboldt<\/a> had identified ground features using satellite images, which they claimed corresponded with Plato\u2019s description of Atlantis.<\/p>\n<p>However, subsequent excavation there showed Wickboldt\u2019s images to be smaller than expected or were from the Muslim period.
