{"id":12684,"date":"2010-10-01T10:01:33","date_gmt":"2010-10-01T10:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/?p=12684"},"modified":"2026-04-24T09:00:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:00:44","slug":"kahlhofer-eckart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/kahlhofer-eckart\/","title":{"rendered":"Kahlhofer, Eckart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Eckart <\/strong><strong>K<\/strong><strong>ahlhofer (1936- )\u00a0<\/strong>is a German entertainer<sup>(a)<\/sup> and Atlantis researcher who has recently added his support to the concept of Atlantis in North-West Europe echoing some of the ideas of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/spanuth-dr-jurgen\/\">J\u00fcrgen Spanuth<\/a>.\u00a0He identifies the invasions of the \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sea-peoples\/\">Sea Peoples<\/a> with those of the Atlanteans during the 12th century BC. Like Spanuth he <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Kahlhofer_Fliege-150x150.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19329\" style=\"border: black 4px solid;\" title=\"Kahlhofer_Fliege-150x150\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Kahlhofer_Fliege-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>also equates orichalcum with amber. Among his more creative ideas is to identify the <a title=\"shardana\" href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/shardana\/\">Shardana<\/a> as coming from <a title=\"sweden\" href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sweden\/\">Sweden<\/a> and similarly argue that the Philistines came from northwest Europe.<\/p>\r\n<p>Additionally, he contends that the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/elephants-2\/\">elephants<\/a> referred to by Plato were in fact deer, claiming that a scribal error resulted in the Greek word <em>elaphos<\/em> (deer)\u00a0being transcribed as <em>elephas <\/em>(elephant).<\/p>\r\n<p>He strongly rejects the commonly accepted interpretation of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/caphtor\/\">Caphtor<\/a>, contending that the term refers to the \u2018pillar of heaven\u2019 in the North Sea holding up the sky and personified by Atlas.(See: <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/archive-2809\/\">Archive 2809<\/a>)<\/p>\r\n<p>Kahlhofer also attacks the views of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/steiner-rudolf\/\">Rudolf Steiner<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/spence-james-lewis-thomas-chalmers\/\">Lewis Spence<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/zangger-eberhard\/\">Eberhard Zangger<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/schoppe-christian-siegfried\/\">Schoppes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/aristotle\/\">Aristotle<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Publication of his book<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/k-l\/\">715<\/a>]<\/sup>, <em>Atlantis in the Third Millennium<\/em>, was imminent and due to have\u00a0been available in English and German. \u00a0However, he has now published an ebook with the title of <em>Mit Atlantis\u2013die andere Dimension (<\/em><em>Atlantis: The Other Dimension) <\/em>in German.<\/p>\r\n<p>In October 2013, Kahlhofer published an English translation of a sample of his work. His latest book <i>Der Atlantis Codex <\/i>is now available as a free pdf file<sup>(b)<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Khalhofer has identified the &#8216;Nine Bows&#8217; people referred to by Merenpth <em>&#8220;as the <\/em><em>coalition of Lebu, Turscha, Sekeles, Peleset, Theker, Denen, Sardana, Wasasa and Meschwesch coming from the north&#8221;,<\/em> whom he had conquered. We would come to know them as the Sea Peoples<sup>(f)<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Khalhofer notes that later Ramses III (Year 8) in the year 1175 BC, defeated the Sea Peoples whom he knew as the Nine Bow peoples from the North<sup>(g)<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n<p>He updated his website<sup>(c)<\/sup> and the English translation of <em>Der Atlantis Codex<\/em> in December 2019.<b> <\/b>Further amendments were added in January 2021(d).<\/p>\r\n<p>Kahlhofer continued to work on the text, leading to a point where it is now (August 2021) a trilogy<sup>(e)<\/sup>. It was no great surprise when <strong><em>Atlantis Codex 2022<\/em><\/strong> was published.
