He was ordained a <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Abbe-Moreux-1.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-29690\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-29690\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Abbe-Moreux-1.jpg\" alt=\"Abbe Moreux\" width=\"264\" height=\"191\" \/><\/a>priest in 1891 and became a professor of Mathematics and later, in 1907, he built his own observatory.<\/p>\n<p>In 1924 he published <em>L\u2019Atlantide A-T-Elle Exist\u00e9? <\/em><sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/m\/\"><sup>0716<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup> <em>(Atlantis does it Exist?)<\/em> in which claimed that the Atlantis legend must have had an historical foundation.<\/p>\n<p>He also argued that the civilisations of the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/maya\/\">Maya<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/incas\/\">Inca<\/a> and Egyptians were incomprehensible without Atlantis.
