He contributed to the April\/May 1949 edition of Egerton Sykes\u2019 <em>Atlantean Research <\/em>magazine, with a short paper that criticised the value of H\u00f6rbiger\u2019s theories in any scientific investigation of Atlantis. He suggested that any such study should address the following points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Origin of names related to the Atlantic ocean. (Atlas in greek &#8216;to crush&#8217;.Pacifica &#8216;peace loving&#8217;)<\/li>\n<li>The historical existence of Atlantis.<\/li>\n<li>Its locality, geography, and time of disappearance.<\/li>\n<li>Modality and causes of disappearance.<\/li>\n<li>Effects of its disappearance (did it cause the appearance of lands. Quantity of the sea unchanged?)<\/li>\n<li>Civilization attained by its inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li>Influence of its civilization on the remaining continents.<\/li>\n<li>Any possibility and means of a direct archeological knowledge about Atlantis?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>>Zammit made one comment which all Atlantis researchers should keep in mind,<br \/>\n&#8220;We cannot prove something doubtful by the use of something equally doubtful.&#8221;< \n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>P.
