During World War II he was Minister for Cultural Affairs in the French Vichy government. In the 1960s, he turned his attention to a study of ancient history and proceeded to publish a series of best-selling books on forgotten civilisations, ancient astronauts and a range of historical mysteries.He placed <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/hyperboreans\/\">Hyperborea<\/a> between Hudson Bay and <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/greenland\/\">Greenland<\/a><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">875<\/a>.98] <\/sup> where it had been the home of a blond, blue-eyed Nordic race.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He frequently touched on the subject of Atlantis in a number of his books,<sup>(a)<\/sup>, <em>The Mysterious Unknown<\/em><sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">1039<\/a>]<\/sup>,<em> The Mysterious Past<\/em><sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">0766<\/a>]<\/sup> and <em>Lost Worlds<\/em><sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">0875<\/a>]<\/sup><em>, <\/em>suggesting that Atlantis was located in the Atlantic and possibly known as\u00a0Antilia, the<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/fortunate-isles-amended\/\"> Fortunate Isles <\/a>or the island of the Seven Cities.
