{"id":14001,"date":"2011-03-18T09:03:54","date_gmt":"2011-03-18T09:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/?p=14001"},"modified":"2017-04-04T08:05:14","modified_gmt":"2017-04-04T07:05:14","slug":"tournier-ivan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/tournier-ivan\/","title":{"rendered":"Tournier, Ivan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ivan<\/strong><strong> Tournier <\/strong>was regular contributor to the French journal <em>Atlantis. <\/em>In the Feb\/Mar 1950 edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sykes-j-egerton-%e2%80%98bill%e2%80%99\/\">Egerton Sykes\u2019 <\/a><em>Atlantean Research <\/em>an English translation of an article of his entitled \u2018The Orichalcum of the Atlanteans\u2019 was published. \u00a0In it he claims that<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/orichalcum\/\"> orichalcum <\/a>as described by Plato appears to be a specific metal rather than an alloy. However, he goes on to suggest that orichalcum or \u2018mountain copper\u2019 may have been an alloy of copper and beryllium. Tournier\u2019s conclusion seems to have been influenced by the discovery in 1936 at Assuit in Upper Egypt of a type of scalpel made from such an alloy.<\/p>\n<p>Assuit (Asyut)\u00a0was the location of alleged appearances of the Virgin Mary at the Church of St.Mark in 2000 and 2001<sup>(a)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><sup>(a)<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zeitun-eg.org\/assiut.htm\">https:\/\/www.zeitun-eg.org\/assiut.htm<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ivan Tournier was regular contributor to the French journal Atlantis.
