{"id":14051,"date":"2011-03-23T08:45:36","date_gmt":"2011-03-23T08:45:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/?p=14051"},"modified":"2025-11-23T17:14:48","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T17:14:48","slug":"archer-patrick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/archer-patrick\/","title":{"rendered":"Archer, Patrick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Patrick<\/strong><strong> Archer <\/strong>is the author of an astoundingly sparse three page website<sup>(a)<\/sup>.\u00a0 In less than 100 words, he controversially offers a North African location for <a title=\"eden\" href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/946\/\">Eden<\/a> and Ararat as well as an equally contentious explanation for the biblical <a title=\"deluge\" href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/deluge\/\">Deluge<\/a>, namely that an isthmus had connected the Apennines of Italy with the Atlas Mountains of North Africa and had collapsed and sunk. Archer further contends that Atlantis had been located on this isthmus.<\/p>\r\n<p>It is time for this writer to realise that assertion is no substitute for evidence.<\/p>\r\n<p>In October 2011, Patrick Archer complained<sup>(c)\u00a0 <\/sup>that I had been unfairly critical. A short correspondence ensued, which I have posted as <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/document-221011-n\/\">Archive 3923<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Archer has now expanded into new territory with a claim that he had deciphered the Minoan <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/linear-a-n\/\">Linear A<\/a> script<sup>(b)<\/sup>.
