{"id":1422,"date":"2010-05-22T06:43:21","date_gmt":"2010-05-22T06:43:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/?p=1422"},"modified":"2025-11-20T18:32:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T18:32:47","slug":"aboulfotouh-dr-hossam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/aboulfotouh-dr-hossam\/","title":{"rendered":"Aboulfotouh, Dr. Hossam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dr. Hossam <\/strong><strong>A<\/strong><strong>boulfotouh (1960 &#8211; )\u00a0<\/strong>is Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture in the Egyptian University of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/aboulfotouh.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-36676\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/aboulfotouh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/aboulfotouh.jpg 200w, https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/aboulfotouh-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Minia. He has daringly suggested that Atlantis was sited in the Nile Delta and destroyed in 3070 BC<sup>(f)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, he has supported this contention with very little evidence. In his website<sup>(<\/sup><sup>a<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup> he wanders somewhat, discussing ancient metrology and hieroglyphics. He also offers a decoding of the Dendera Zodiac<sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(e<\/span><\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/mcquillen-rich\/\">R. McQuillen<\/a> offers a much stronger case for an Egyptian location. However, both Aboulfotouh and McQuillen have opted for the west of the Nile delta near Canopus as having been the location of the Pillars of Heracles referred to by Plato. It is interesting to note that the late <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/richter-ulf\/\">Ulf Richter<\/a> studied the topographical details provided by Plato and concludes that the capital city of Atlantis was constructed on a river delta.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In three rather technical papers<sup>(d) <\/sup>Aboulfotouh calculates the date of the building of the Great Pyramid at Giza as 3055 BC, which he claims was also the time of the Deluge or what he refers to as the \u201ctsunami of the Mediterranean\u201d. He also outlines his views on the methods used to design the Giza complex using \u2018The Horizon Theory\u2019<sup>(b)(d)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/ratti-diego-n\/\">Diego Ratti<\/a>, in his 2021 book, <em>Atletenu<\/em> <sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/n-r\/\">1821<\/a>]<\/sup>, has placed Atlantis in Egypt&#8217;s eastern Nile Delta with <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/avaris\/\">Avaris<\/a> its capital and so identifying the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/hyksos\/\">Hyksos<\/a> as Atlantean.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aboulfotouh has also written a paper on the tilt of the Giza pyramids&#8217; entrance passages proving <em>&#8220;that the pyramids&#8217; designer was able to include the geographic, astronomical and time parameters in one relativistic equation, encoding the date of the design of the Giza pyramids in the tilt of the entrance passage of the Great Pyramid.&#8221;<\/em><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><sup>(c)<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some years ago, Aboulfotouh put forward detailed plans for the rehabilitation of historic Cairo<sup>(h<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>, but it seems that bureaucratic inertia has prevented any progress with his suggestions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aboulfotouh published a number of papers on the <em>Academia.edu <\/em>website relating to ancient Egypt and the mathematical knowledge of the time there.
