In a paper presented to the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/atlantis-conference-2008\/\">2008 Atlantis Conference <\/a>in Athens she equated Plato\u2019s \u201c<a title=\"shoals\" href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/shoal-of-mud\/\">shoals of mud<\/a>\u201d with the narrow neck of land where Panama is. She speculates further that a global catastrophe around 10,000 BC led to the destruction of Atlantis and led to the dispersal of survivors north and southward.
