In his book <em>G<\/em><em>ermania<\/em>,\u00a0he wrote (chap 34\/35) that the\u00a0\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/pillars-of-herakles-revised\/\">Pillars of Hercules<\/a><strong>\u2019<\/strong> were located in the land of the Frisians near the Rhine. This is just one classical reference that highlights the fact that Gibraltar was not the only possible site of these landmarks.
