In 1976 he published <em>Noahs Weg zum Amazonas (Noah&#8217;s way to the Amazon),\u00a0<\/em>which was translated into English by <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/martin-ebon\/\">Martin Ebon<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><em>and republished as Lost Survivors of the Deluge<\/em><sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/h-j\/\"><sup>0777<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup><em>. <\/em>In it\u00a0he links the biblical deluge with the destruction of Atlantis. He also identifies Sumerian flood of Gilgamesh with that of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/deluge-of-noah\/\">Noah<\/a><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><\/strong>. In fact he suggests that Gilgamesh voyaged from <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/lixus\/\">Lixus<\/a> to South America . However, overall, he seems happy to follow the ideas of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/otto-muck-amended\/\">Otto Muck,<\/a>\u00a0who placed Atlantis in the Atlantic and destroyed by an asteroid impact.\u00a0Von Hassler\u00a0further identifies Atlantis with the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/946\/\">Garden of Eden<\/a>.
