In fact, Agartha, or as he called it \u2018Asgartha\u2019 was invented by <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/louis-jacolliot-new\/\">Louis Jacolliot <\/a>(1837-1890).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The French occultist, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/saint-yves-dalveydre-alexandre\/\">Alexandre Saint-Yves d&#8217;Alveydre<\/a>, claimed to have visited Agarttha during an out-of-body experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One site offers video clips to support the Hollow Earth idea<sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(e)<\/span><\/sup>, a concept first proposed by Edmond Halley in 1692<sup>(i)<\/sup>. In fact, the leading Electric Universe proponent, Wallace Thornhill (1943-2023), recently expressed sympathy for both a hollow Earth as well as a Hollow <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/moon-the-n\/\">Moon<\/a>. This was at a recent EU conference and can be viewed at the 40-minute mark of a YouTube video.<sup>(h)<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2001, a father and son team, Kevin &amp; Matthew Taylor, combined the hollow earth theory with the idea of an expanding earth in their book, <em>The Land of No Horizon<\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/t-v\/\">823<\/a>]<\/sup>, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">as well as a YouTube clip<sup>(f)<\/sup>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The background to the 20th-century upsurge in interest in the idea of a Hollow Earth is worth a read<sup>(c)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/le-poer-trench-brinsley-n\/\">Brinsley Le Poer Trench<\/a> was a member of both British and Dutch nobility with the titles of 8th Earl of Clancarty and 7th Marquess of Heusden and had a seat in the British House of Lords. He held several extreme opinions regarding extraterrestrial visitors, UFOs and the Hollow Earth Theory and wrote a number of books in support of them. In 1974 he published <em>Secret of the Ages <\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/k-l\/\">778<\/a>]<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>+<\/strong><\/span><\/sup><em>, <\/em>which was later republished as <em>Finding Lost Atlantis Inside the Hollow Earth<\/em> and is still available.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A number of 20th-century\u00a0writers have suggested that subterranean Agartha has a civilisation related to that of Atlantis. We should not be surprised by the existence of Hollow Earth theories, after all, the Flat Earth Society<sup>(b)<\/sup> is alive and well and functional in California(see <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/dubay-eric-n\/\">Eric Dubay<\/a>).
