He was fascinated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sumeria\/\">Sumerians<\/a> who had been rediscovered in the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century. He identified the Sumerians as Aryan and even went so far as to claim Sumerian\/Phoenician <sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\">1943<\/a>]<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>+<\/strong><\/span><\/sup> ancestry for the Britons, Welsh, Anglo-Saxons, Irish-Scots, Early Germans and Scandinavians<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\">814.<\/a>6]<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">+<\/span><\/strong><\/sup>!<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Edda <\/em>is generally accepted as an important source of Norse mythology. However, in 1930 Waddell published <em>British Edda<\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\">815<\/a>]<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">+<\/span><\/strong><\/sup> claiming that the text had been originally composed in Britain.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&gt;<\/span><\/strong>In 1925, Hermann Wieland claimed in <em>Atlantis, Edda und Bibel<\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\">816<\/a>]<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">+<\/span><\/strong><\/sup> that Atlantis had been an ancient German homeland. An English translation was produced in 2016<sup> [<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\">1944<\/a>]<\/sup> by an Australian right-wing publisher.
