He produced his own banknotes and distinctive triangular stamps as well as an Atlantean flag. I wonder what Plato would have said! It seems that Mott also claimed to be a descendant of Leif Erikson.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/JL-Mott.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-27589\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/JL-Mott-300x149.png\" alt=\"JL Mott\" width=\"300\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/JL-Mott-300x149.png 300w, https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/JL-Mott.png 436w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Coincidentally, there was a J. L.Mott Ironworks in New York which designed and constructed an ornamental fountain in Shelbyville, Kentucky<sup>(b)<\/sup> and entitled it \u2018Atlantis\u2019!<\/p>\n<p>A 1953 newspaper report<sup>(d) <\/sup>adds a few further details regarding Mott and his disappearance in 1934.<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sykes-j-egerton-bill\/\"> Egerton Sykes<\/a> appears to have unsuccessfully sought any additional information<sup>(e)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I came across a site<sup>(a) <\/sup>which\u00a0recounts the Mott story but adds an image and text where it refers to C. L.
