The study was the result of satellite images of the area in which <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wickboldt-werner\/\">Werner Wickboldt <\/a>identified features that suggested buried structures. Another, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/kuhne-dr-rainer-walter\/\">Rainer K\u00fchne<\/a>, achieved international attention for the site when he had an article published in the well regarded magazine <em>Antiquity <\/em>in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All this undoubtedly led to the investigation there by the team including Villarias-Robles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2009 Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/freund-professor-richard\/\">Richard Freund <\/a>offered to arrange expensive geophysical test on the site in return for help with the making of a documentary about Atlantis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Freund spent less than a week on the site<sup>(a)<\/sup> and misleadingly gave the impression that he had led the Hinojos Project. Understandably Villarias is unhappy with the manner in which Freund hijacked their work and used it in the National Geographic documentary.
