The Greeks did not have the natural ability necessary for the development of philosophy. The Greek philosophy was not invented by Greeks but by the Blacks of Northern Africa, the Egyptians\u201d.<\/em> His \u2018chip-on-the-shoulder\u2019 Afrocentrism pervades his book, often sinking into downright racism.<b> <\/b>A sceptic&#8217;s view of James&#8217; claims gives some balance to the debate<sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(b)<\/span><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our interest in James stems from his claim<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/h-j\/\">858<\/a>.109]<\/sup> that both <em>Republic <\/em>and <em>Timaeus <\/em>were stolen by Plato and quotes the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> century AD biographer, Diogenes La\u00ebrtius (8.85), in support of his contention.
