His core idea is that there existed in ancient times a World Map based on the the Cygnus constellation, echoing some of\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/collins-andrew\/\">Andrew Collins\u2019 <\/a>work<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">075<\/a>]<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Included on his site is an article that somehow links a painting, allegedly a map, in the Lascaux Cave with a location in Viet Nam\u2019s Gulf of Tonkin, which Cunningham describes as having\u00a0 \u201cdimensions and geographical features similar to Plato\u2019s description of Atlantis.\u201d He later adds that \u201cof all the various locations proposed, this is the only site that appears consistent with Plato\u2019s description.\u201d As a layman I found the article and the site in general, totally confusing, forcing me to lie down in a darkened room.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Gulf-of-Tonkin1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-23094\" style=\"border: 4px solid black;\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Gulf-of-Tonkin1-300x165.png\" alt=\"Gulf-of-Tonkin1\" width=\"450\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Gulf-of-Tonkin1-300x165.png 300w, https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Gulf-of-Tonkin1.png 705w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, I cannot deny that Cunningham has put a lot of work into his site and he\u00a0does have\u00a0fans<sup>(b)<\/sup>, but his ideas are too \u2018way out\u2019 for me.<\/p>\n<p>His most recent \u2018discoveries\u2019<sup>(c)<\/sup> include an association of the layout of the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/stonehenge-new\/\">Stonehenge <\/a>complex with the Milky Way!<\/p>\n<p>Cunningham has published his theories in two books, <i>Khyung The Stone Age Astronaut<\/i><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">954<\/a>] <\/sup>and <i>400,000 Years of Stone Age Science<\/i><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">955<\/a>]<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>He later extended his studies to the remarkable terraced walls of\u00a0 Sacsayhuam\u00e1n near<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/857\/\">Cuzco<\/a> <\/span>in Peru. In a 2014 illustrated article in <em>Popular\u00a0Archaeology<\/em> online magazine, he claimed that the angles of the adjoining ends, or sides, of the\u00a0 irregular, yet tightly fitting stones, have astronomical significance!<\/p>\n<p>Cunningham, has now turned his attention to angles inscribed at ancient sites, which he claims can be associated with astronomical features and events.
