{"id":2238,"date":"2010-05-31T09:27:59","date_gmt":"2010-05-31T09:27:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/hopi-indians\/"},"modified":"2026-03-14T18:37:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T18:37:31","slug":"hopi-indians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/hopi-indians\/","title":{"rendered":"Hopi Indians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The<\/strong><strong> Hopi Indians,<\/strong> currently settled in northeast Arizona, are the descendants of the Anasazi who in turn are believed to have had links to the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/aztecs\/\">Aztecs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another site associates them\u00a0with the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/maya\/\">Maya<\/a><sup>(b)(c)<\/sup>.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Several writers have tried to suggest that the Hopi had an early connection with Atlantis, employing a highly subjective interpretation of their traditions and flood myths.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas O. Mills, author of <em>The Book Of Truth: A New Perspective on the Hopi Creation Story <\/em><sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/m\/\">1844<\/a>]<\/sup><em>, <\/em>offers the intriguing suggestion that there is a link between the Hopi and Egypt&#8217;s Valley of the Kings<sup>(e)<\/sup>. For good measure, Mills has also claimed a Hopi connection with <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/stonehenge-new\/\">Stonehenge<\/a><sup>(f)<\/sup>. and produced another short book, <em>Stonehenge &#8211; If This Was East <\/em><sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/m\/\">1845<\/a>]<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>When <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/bauval-robert\/\">Robert Bauval<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/gilbert-adrian\/\">Adrian Gilbert<\/a> published <em>The Orion Mystery<\/em> <sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\">1707<\/a>]<\/sup> in 1994, we were happy to follow the ensuing debate on the reality of what became known as the &#8216;Orion Correlation Theory&#8217; (OCT) and the large pyramids at Giza. Now, the proposed matching of the alignment of the stars in Orion&#8217;s &#8216;belt&#8217; with the pyramids at Giza has been extended to include other structures around the world. Apart from Giza, one site(h) lists the Chinese Xi&#8217;an Pyramids, the Teotihuacan Pyramids in Mexico and, unexpectedly three Hopi Mesas!<\/p>\n<p>Gary A. David has endorsed the Hopi alignment, incurring an accusation of dishonesty by <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/colavito-jason-n\/\">Jason Colavito<\/a><sup>(g)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Others have associated the Hopi with UFOs and the supposed disasters that were\u00a0due in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>One of the traditional Hopi tales points to a sunken land in the Pacific, K\u00e1ssara, as their original homeland, which they had to flee as it began to slowly sink<sup>(i)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>There is now a website<sup>(a)<\/sup> dedicated to the Hopi and their petroglyphs\u00a0as well as a number of other related papers from <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/david-gary-a\/\">Gary A. David<\/a>. In one<sup>(j)<\/sup> of which he proposed that the Hopi had their own Orion Correlation tradition displayed over 200 miles on the Colorado Plateau, where, according to David <em>&#8220;either an ancestral Hopi ruin or an inhabited Hopi village directly corresponds to each major star in Orion.&#8221; <\/em>David also returns to Egypt where apart from the Giza OCT, advocated by Bauval and Gilbert, he claims that some of the stones of Nabta Playa also seem to Correlate with Orion, citing the work of Thomas Brophy <sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\">1510<\/a>]<\/sup>.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Also See: <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/blumrich-josef-f\/\">Josef F.
