Fritz<\/b> <\/b>N<\/b>estke & <\/b>Thomas<\/b> <\/b>R<\/b>iemer <\/b>are the German authors of Atlantis – ein Kontinent tau(ch)t auf <\/i>[064<\/a>]<\/sup> published in 1989, six years before Rand & Rose Flem-Ath<\/a> published their \u2018Atlantis in the Antarctic<\/a>\u2019 theory in When the Sky Fell<\/a>. <\/i>However, twenty years earlier Flavio Barbiero<\/a> published a parallel theory [<\/sup>0061<\/a><\/sup>]<\/sup>, although I don’t know if Nestke & Reimer were aware of his book written in Italian!<\/p>\n

In support of their contention, Nestke & Riemer have produced a \u2018corrected\u2019 translation of Timaeus 25d,\u00a0 <\/i>which they claim should read;<\/p>\n

“…<\/i> and Atlantis’ island as of<\/i>\u00a0disappeared even in its sea (<\/i>removed from view) why\u00a0<\/i>it is now being impossible – because the<\/i>\u00a0slush of frozen sea<\/span> even there is<\/i>\u00a0a very real obstacle – close<\/i> gain access to the island” <\/i>(p.170).<\/p>\n
