For Atlantis seekers it is of interest as the location of Jim Allen\u2019s Pampa Aullagus which he controversially maintains is the site of Plato\u2019s lost city<sup>(a)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>In 1973, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/james-bailey\/\">James Bailey<\/a> published <em>The God-Kings and The Titans <\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\">0149<\/a>]<\/sup> , in which he claimed that the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/america\/\">Americas<\/a> were colonised as early as 5000 BC and provided the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/copper\/\">copper <\/a>and tin for the development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/bronze-age\/\">Bronze Age<\/a> in the Old World. He was an early proponent of the idea that Atlantis was located in Bolivia or Peru, with its capital city being either <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/tiwanaku-tiahuanaco\/\">Tiahuanaco<\/a> or Chan Chan, on the coast.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey published a follow-up book, <em>Sailing to Paradise <\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\">0150<\/a>]<\/sup> in 1994, in which he added further support for his Atlantis in America contention. Additionally, he placed the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/eden-2\/\">Garden of Eden<\/a> somewhere on the Bolivian Altiplano..
