In a recent book[<\/sup>980<\/sup><\/a>]<\/sup> by Antonio Usai <\/a>he claims that the original Pillars of Hercules were situated between the islands and the mainland. In support of his contention he quotes from The Voyageof Hanno <\/i>and other classical writers.<\/p>\n

F\u00e9rr\u00e9ol Butavand<\/a> thought that Atlantis had existed in the Central Mediterranean and had included the Kerkennah Islands. Alberto Arecchi<\/a> has expressed similar views.<\/p>\n
