In an 1883 book he placed Atlantis on the Atlantic coast of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/morocco-revised\/\">Morocco<\/a> between Agadir (a variant of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/gades\/\">Gades<\/a>) and Casablanca<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\"><sup>163<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>. According to Berlioux this location was the site of the city of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/cerne\/\">Cerne<\/a> the capital of the Atlantes referred to by <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/diodorus-siculus\/\">Diodorus Siculus<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/herodotus-revised\/\">Herodotus<\/a><sup>(c)<\/sup>.<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Berlioux.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-62520 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Berlioux.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"590\" srcset=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Berlioux.jpg 360w, https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Berlioux-183x300.jpg 183w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 1907 he presented a series of papers entitled \u2018Morocco and the Atlanteans\u2019 for the Academy of Sciences at Lyons.
