He dealt with them and their reception for the first time in his 1975 essay\u00a0<em>When the Sky Rained Fire: The Velikovsky Phenomenon.<\/em>\u00a0The\u00a0SIS Review\u00a0enthusiastically commented on the article at the time: &#8221;\u00a0<em>&#8230; a masterful (albeit colorfully introduced) consolidation of\u00a0<\/em><em>Velikovsky\u00a0&#8216;s main works &#8211; in about 4,500 words -, together with<\/em>\u00a0[an account of]\u00a0<em>the excitement they aroused<\/em> [&#8230;]<em>, makes a good introduction to the study of his theories.<\/em>&#8220;<sup>(a)<\/sup><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&lt;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also fleetingly touches on the subject of Atlantis<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\"><sup>1146<\/sup><\/a><sup>.87]<\/sup> noting <em>&#8220;the increasing evidence that Atlantis was an island city in the Aegean&#8221;,<\/em> namely <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/santorini\/\">Santorini<\/a>, which matches Atlantis <em>&#8220;in startling detail.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><sup>(a)<\/sup> <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantisforschung-de.translate.goog\/index.php?title=Fred_Warshofsky&amp;_x_tr_sl=de&amp;_x_tr_tl=en&amp;_x_tr_hl=en&amp;_x_tr_pto=wapp\">Fred Warshofsky \u2013 Atlantisforschung.de (atlantisforschung-de.translate.goog)<\/a><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0*<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fred Warshofsky is an American science writer and film director.
