{"id":2931,"date":"2010-06-06T09:11:28","date_gmt":"2010-06-06T09:11:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/brychta-radek\/"},"modified":"2026-01-08T17:40:49","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T17:40:49","slug":"brychta-radek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/brychta-radek\/","title":{"rendered":"Brychta, Radek"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Radek <\/strong><strong>B<\/strong><strong>rychta<\/strong> is a Czech writer, who has written<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\"><sup>203<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup> about the transmission of the Atlantis story from the Indus civilisation\u00a0city of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/dholavira-3\/\">Dholavira<\/a>, which he claims was the legendary island of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/dilmun\/\">Dilmun<\/a> recorded by <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Bryctha.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-25712\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Bryctha.jpg\" alt=\"Bryctha\" width=\"125\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a>the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sumeria\/\">Sumerians<\/a> and from them, transferred to <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/egypt\/\">Egypt<\/a> and eventually\u00a0related to <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/solon\/\">Solon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brychta considers <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/bab-el-mandeb\/\">Bab-el-Mandeb<\/a> to be the location of the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/pillars-of-herakles-revised\/\">Pillars of Herakles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>John Sassoon,<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/s\/\">0566<\/a>]<\/sup> has suggested, based on Genesis 11.2 that the Sumerians had in fact migrated from the east, with the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/indus-valley\/\">Indus Valley<\/a> as a possible point of origin. He suggests further that the Sumerians were the progenitors of the Jews. This theory would also offer a line of transmission from the Indus valley to the Nile delta.<\/p>\n<p>He includes a rational explanation for the 9,000-year age of Atlantis, by noting that the Egyptians, as well as the Indus civilisation, counted time in seasons of which there were three annually. Dividing 9,000 by three and adding the probable date of Solon\u2019s Egyptian sojourn, 590 BC<strong>,<\/strong> gives us a more credible date of 3590 BC<strong>. <\/strong>This idea has also been proposed by <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/rosario-vieni\/\">Rosario Vieni<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/hausmann-axel\/\">Axel Hausmann<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A further possible link between the Atlantis story and the Indus civilisation, is strengthened by such matters as the existence of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/elephants-2\/\">elephants<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An abbreviated version of Brychta\u2019s book, in seven sections, is now archived here<sup>(a)<\/sup>.
