Some push back the origins of the Thracians to 3000 BC<sup>(b)(c)<\/sup>. Homer described the Thracians as allies of Troy. Today Thrace would occupy southeast <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/bulgaria-n\/\">Bulgaria<\/a> along with adjacent parts of Greece and Turkey. Some have attempted to link Thrace with Atlantis<sup>(a)<\/sup>. Abraham Akkerman suggests in <em>Phenomenology of the Winter City<\/em><sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/a\/\"><sup>1179<\/sup><\/a><sup>.98] <\/sup>that the inspiration for <em>&#8220;Plato&#8217;s layout of his Ideal City on the island of Atlantis&#8221;<\/em> may be found in Thrace.
