In on of his last books<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\"><sup>241<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup> he investigates the Neolithic alignments of the Lothian region of Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Another of his books<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\"><sup>240<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup> offered support for the theory of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/mestdaghmarcel\/\">Marcel Mestdagh<\/a>, who postulated that the city of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sens\/\">Sens<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/france\/\">France<\/a> was the centre or capital city of an ancient culture, which he believed to be Atlantis. He returned to Mestdagh&#8217;s theories in his 2012 book, <em>The Lost Civilisation Enigma<\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">1275<\/a>]<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coppens had been previously published as Filip Coppens. His website<sup>(<\/sup><sup>a<\/sup><sup>) <\/sup>went offline in December 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He also published <em>The New Pyramid Age<\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">759<\/a>] <\/sup>in which he reviewed the most recent pyramid discoveries such as at Caral, and discussed the possible implications of their existence on every continent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/colavito-jason-n\/\">Jason Colavito<\/a>, a full-time sceptic, has published some harsh words about Coppens\u2019 reliability<sup>(b)<\/sup>. In October 2012 war continued between the two them<sup>(c)<\/sup>.\u00a0 This relates to Coppens\u2019 then recent book, <em>The Ancient Alien Question<\/em><sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\"><sup>1525<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>, whose advertising blurb declares that \u201cPhilip Coppens demonstrates that there is substantial proof that our ancestors were far more technologically advanced than currently accepted, and that certain cultures interacted with non-human intelligences. Our ancestors were clearly not alone.\u201d<sup>(d)(l) <\/sup>Colavito continued his assault with further harsh words regarding Coppens\u2019 more recent publication, <em>The Lost Civilization Enigma<\/em><sup>(e)<\/sup>. Readers can follow the \u2018debate\u2019 on the relevant blogs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coppens died in Los Angeles on December 30<sup>th<\/sup> 2012, as a result of angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. A poignant report of his last days is available online<sup>(g)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coppens\u2019 widow Kathleen McGowan-Coppens is an author with a number of books exploring the Divine Feminine. She has also contributed to the US <em>Ancient Aliens <\/em>TV show<sup>(h)<\/sup>. Jason Colavito has recently (Jan.2015) discussed<sup>(j)<\/sup> her claim to be a descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene!!!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The aforementioned claim has now apparently landed McGowan with an accusation of plagiarism by a Suzanne Olsson.
