This led him to conclude that Atlantis had been situated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/holy-land\/\">Holy Land<\/a>, a view popular until that time.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&gt;<\/span><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/atlantisforschung-de\/\"><em>Atlantisforschung<\/em><\/a>, commenting on Van Eys, concluded<sup>(a) <\/sup>\u00a0 that <em>&#8220;<\/em><em>it should be noted that the heyday of the\u00a0&#8216;<\/em><em>Atlantis\u00a0in the <\/em><em>Holy Land&#8217;\u00a0thesis&#8217; was already over in his day.\u00a0It is true that in 1826 &#8211; a year before the publication of his doctoral thesis &#8211; the\u00a0&#8216;dissertation sur le Critias de Platon&#8217;\u00a0by the French scholar\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/olivier-de-marseille\/\"><em>Claude-Mathieu Olivier<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0appeared, who took the view that\u00a0<\/em><em>Plato&#8217;s Atlantis report basically represents a description of events from the early days of the Jewish people.
