In a 1701 work, <em>A Treatise of Antient and Present Geography <\/em><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/w-z\/\">1259<\/a>.146]<\/sup>, he refers to the belief of <strong><em>some,<\/em><\/strong> linking America with Plato&#8217;s Atlantis, although he avoids revealing his own opinion on the matter. He refers to <em>Cosmographie<\/em> by Peter Heylyn (1599-1662),<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&gt;<\/span><\/strong>where arguments that the ancients had knowledge of America are more fully expounded. <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/franke-thorwald-c\/\">Thorwald C.
