He bases his claim on his interpretation of Plato\u2019s text, the topography of the area as revealed by satellite imagery, all reinforced by the views of the Austrian ethnologist, Dr.<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/christine-pellech-new\/\">Christine Pellech<\/a><sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/n-r\/\">640<\/a>]<\/sup> who identified Central America as the centre of a maritime economic power at the end of the last Ice Age.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/cuba-image.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26866 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/cuba-image-300x111.jpg\" alt=\"cuba-image\" width=\"500\" height=\"185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/cuba-image-300x111.jpg 300w, https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/cuba-image-1024x380.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/cuba-image.jpg 1346w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>Unfortunately, Frey\u2019s chosen locality has already been claimed by <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/little-dr-gregory-and-dr-lora\/\">Greg Little<\/a>, as the home of Atlantis on behalf of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/a-r-e-association-for-research-enlightenment-inc\/\">A.R.E.<\/a>\u00a0 Additionally,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/collins-andrew\/\">Andrew Collins<\/a> in his acclaimed book<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/c\/\">072<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0 also situated Plato\u2019s lost city, north of the Isle of Youth (Isla de la Juventud) where the Gulf of Bataban\u00f3 lies.<\/p>\n<p>Frey has also matched Plato&#8217;s description of the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/plain-of-atlantis\/\">Plain of Atlantis<\/a> with the two plains of Cuba in a paper on the <em>Atlantisforschung<\/em> website<sup>(b)<\/sup>.
