His contention is based on what he claims were the different geographical perceptions of the Egyptians and Greeks that led to Plato misinterpreting Solon\u2019s notes and erroneously placing Atlantis in the Atlantic Ocean. He presented his radical views at the 2005 Atlantis Conference.<\/p>\n<p>On his website, Manuchevich outlines the reasoning behind his theory<sup>(b<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>\u00a0in a series of blogs. He also offers further insights in an old <em>Atlantis Rising<\/em> forum<sup>(c<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>More tangible but no more credible is the site of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/atlit-yam\/\">Atlit-Yam <\/a>of the coast of Israel, which the media insist on referring to as \u201cIsrael\u2019s Atlantis\u201d.<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Atlit-Yam is one of six \u201cmarvelously preserved\u201d prehistoric settlements running along the Israeli coastline from Haifa to Atlit which were submerged roughly 7,000 years ago<sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(e<\/span><\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/pitterson-ryan\/\">Ryan Pitterson<\/a>, the author of Judgement of the Nephilim <sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/n-r\/\">1620]<\/a><\/sup><em>, <\/em>contends that Atlantis was situated on the Golan Heights, overlooking the Sea of Galilee and currently occupied by Israel. The region is home to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ancient-origins.net\/news-history-archaeology\/wheel-giants-mysterious-prehistoric-rujm-el-hiri-puzzles-archaeologists-020618\">Gilgal Refaim<\/a>, an archaeological site consisting of several concentric stone walls with demonstrable astronomical alignments.
