Nevertheless, earlier individuals have been identified as Rosicrucians such as the Swedish Runic scholar <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/johannes-thomae-agrivillensis-bureus-new\/\">Johannes Bureus<\/a> (1568-1652) and the alleged founder of the order, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/john-dee-revised\/\">John Dee<\/a>.\u00a0 Some have pushed the beginnings back to the 15<sup>th<\/sup> century<sup>(<\/sup><sup>b<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Although there are modern \u2018Rosicrucian\u2019 groups, the origins of these bodies are rarely traceable beyond the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century despite their claims to a lineage that stretches back to ancient <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/egypt\/\">Egypt<\/a> and Atlantis. The basis for such claims is at best imaginary but generally accepted as fraudulent. The Rosicrucians have also been linked with the Holy Grail, a subject that has received greater public interest since the publication of Dan Brown\u2019s <em>T<\/em><em>he <\/em><em>D<\/em><em>a<\/em><em>V<\/em><em>inci <\/em><em>C<\/em><em>ode<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>A 1934 extract<sup>(c<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup> from the <em>Rosicrucian Digest <\/em>reveals their thinking at that time.<\/p>\n<p>A 2006 edition<sup>(<\/sup><sup>a<\/sup><sup>) <\/sup>of <em>Rosicrucian Digest <\/em>gives an overview of the search for Atlantis at that point in time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/spence-james-lewis-thomas-chalmers\/\">Lewis Spence<\/a>, an early 20th-century atlantologist, was a member of a European Rosicrucian order.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&gt;<\/span><\/strong>A recent development in Rosicrucian thinking is the idea of extraterrestrial intervention in the affairs of man from early times including our creation \u2013 <em>\u201c<\/em><em>The knowledge of the Atlanteans came from another galaxy and was brought by those who became the first rulers of Atlantis.
