His interests also include <em>Medical Epidemiology<\/em>, and <em>Medical History<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Savona-Ventura was one of the co-authors of <em>Malta: Echoes of Plato\u2019s Island. <\/em>He has also collaborated with his colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/mifsud-dr-anton\/\">Anton Mifsud<\/a> on a number of other books and articles relating to ancient Malta.\u00a0They have commented on unusual ancient skulls that have been found in the prehistoric temples of the island that <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/collins-andrew\/\">Andrew Collins<\/a><sup>(<\/sup><sup>a<\/sup><sup>) <\/sup>has linked with similar skulls dating from pre-dynastic <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/egypt\/\">Egypt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Savona has his own website<sup>(b)<\/sup> that includes much regarding his medical interests. Rather oddly, in 2010, he independently published a fourteen-page booklet, <em>In Search of Atlantis <\/em><sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/s\/\">1332<\/a>]<\/sup>, which like <em>&#8216;Echoes&#8217; <\/em>supported Malta as Atlantis. He also contends that Malta had in earlier times been part of a much larger landmass and supports this idea with the fact that the Maltese and <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/663\/\">Pelagian<\/a> islands share species of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/flora-and-fauna-of-atlantis\/\">flora and fauna <\/a>not found on <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/sicily\/\">Sicily<\/a> or the Italian mainland.
