He was author of two works<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Scott-Elliot-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-34038\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/Scott-Elliot-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"287\" \/><\/a> relating to Atlantis<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/s\/\"><sup>543<\/sup><\/a><sup>][<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/s\/\"><sup>544<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>, both of which are available on the Internet<sup>(<\/sup><sup>a<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>. However, his work is mainly a re-working of some of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/donnelly-ignatius-loyola\/\">Donnelly<\/a>\u2019s material, combined with a dash of Theosophy and a splash of racism, all of which was allegedly generated by \u2018astral clairvoyance\u2019 and by reference to \u2018the Akashic Records\u2019!<\/p>\n<p>In his 1896 book, <em>The Story of Atlantis, <\/em>Scott-Elliot was one of the first to suggest that Atlanteans has flying machines or \u2018air-boats\u2019. This inclusion by him was influenced by the efforts of John W. Keely and Hiram Maxim to develop flying machines at the end of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century.
