It is claimed that this expedition was in preparation for an invasion of India. His activities were recorded by Herodotus in Book IV of his <em>Histories<\/em>. \u00a0There is a naval guide to the Mediterranean and its islands, which is attributed to Scylax but dated to 350 BC or later. This document is referred as the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/periplus\/\"><em>Periplus<\/em><\/a><em> of Pseudo-Scylax<sup>(a)<\/sup><\/em>.
