He believed that Plato\u2019s Atlantis story was a corruption of Bible history and that in fact Atlantis was located in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/holy-land\/\">Holy Land<\/a>. He went further and attempted to link the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/twelve-tribes-of-israel\/\">twelve tribes<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/israel\/\">Israel<\/a> with the ten kings of the Atlantean federation. On one of the maps in his book, first published in 1762<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/b\/\"><sup>140<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>, he placed the <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/atlas-mountains\/\">Atlas Mountains<\/a> in modern Yemen and has the Red Sea named as Mare Atlanticum, presaging the more recent work of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/manuschevich-jaime\/\">Jaime Manuschevich<\/a>.
