He wrote a book<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/g\/\"><sup>642<\/sup><\/a><sup>] <\/sup>on the geography of Morocco in 1912 and a few years later, produced the first geological map of Morocco<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/g\/\"><sup>643<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>. Because of hostilities in the area, his mapping was often carried out under military protection.<\/p>\n<p>Gentil was also emphatic that Atlantis had existed and was convinced\u00a0 it had been located in Morocco.
