He commented that <strong><em>&#8220;<\/em><\/strong><em>An imaginative investigation<\/em><strong><em>,<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0such as the book &#8216;The Columns of Hercules&#8217;, is now presented and propagated as a text of scientific importance,\u00a0unfortunately with the endorsement of some scholars, almost all non-Sardinians\u00a0and not connoisseurs of archaeological and geological studies conducted in Sardinia in the last fifty years. Strengthened by this endorsemen<strong>t,\u00a0<\/strong>Frau conducts a campaign of mystification and denigration against all the researchers operating in Sardinia and above all against the Archaeological Superintendencies, considered guilty of hiding the evidence of the truth revealed by him.&#8221;<\/em> (translation)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Usai issued an invitation for others to join him in this condemnation<sup>(a)<\/sup>. This evoked support from 71 Sardinian archaeologists, geologists and historians.
