In the study of ancient history, it has been used extensively to trace the migration of prehistoric populations. Thousands of papers have been published enabling new theories to be developed.<\/p>\n<p>Now, all that work has been called into question by Dr Eran Elhaik, Associate Professor at the Department of Biology, Lund University, Sweden. In a paper published in August 2022, he claims that Principal Component Analyses (PCA)-based findings in population genetic studies are highly biased and must be reevaluated.
