His later research led to an investigation of catastrophes in the solar system and their effects on the Earth.<\/p>\n<p>Radlof&#8217; supported his claim of cataclysmic celestial encounters with some material <sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/n-r\/\">1438<\/a>]<\/sup> later employed by <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/velikovsky-immanuel\/\">Immanuel Velikovsky<\/a> over a century later. Some commentators have mentioned how Velikovsky seemed reluctant to credit earlier writers, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/beaumont-william-comyns\/\">W.C.Beaumont<\/a> and Radlof<sup>(a)<\/sup>, with their contributions to the development of the theory of planetary <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/catastrophism\/\">Catastrophism<\/a>.
