It arguably home the largest number and most spectacular megalithic monuments in Europe<sup>(a)<\/sup>, including the alignments at <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/carnac\/\">Carnac<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Various commentators, with varying degrees of enthusiasm, have sought to link Morbihan and its megalithic remains with Atlantis. These include <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/markale-jean\/\">Jean Markale<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/tributsch-helmut\/\">Helmut Tributsch<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/hirmenech-hans-peny-n\/\">Hans-P\u00e9ny Hirmenech<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/harrison-hank\/\">Hank Harrison<\/a> and the late <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/leonard-r-cedric\/\">R.Cedric Leonard<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/grazia-alfred-de\/\">Alfred deGrazia<\/a> and Helmut Tributsch saw Megalithic Europe as Atlantis with the island of Gavrinis in Brittany as its capital.
