{"id":937,"date":"2010-04-02T09:45:33","date_gmt":"2010-04-02T09:45:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/?p=937"},"modified":"2026-03-21T11:00:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-21T11:00:11","slug":"roland-m-horn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/roland-m-horn\/","title":{"rendered":"Horn, Roland M."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Roland M.<\/strong> <strong>H<\/strong><strong>orn<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>was born in 1963 and is the author of several books on a variety of subjects, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/cayce-edgar\/\">Edgar Cayce<\/a>, The Bible,\u00a0Atlantis and latterly 2012. Horn is a keen supporter of the theory of <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/otto-muck-amended\/\">Otto Muck<\/a>, who postulated the idea of a cometary impact <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Roland-horn.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-27174\" src=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Roland-horn.jpg\" alt=\"Roland horn\" width=\"115\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a>in the Atlantic that led to the destruction of Atlantis, which had been located there. He has a new\u00a0website<sup>(<\/sup><sup>a<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>, in\u00a0 English, outlining his views on the location of Atlantis<sup><span style=\"font-size: small;\">(c<\/span><\/sup><sup>)<\/sup> and promoting his books. He has produced three books, in German, on the subject of Atlantis. In 1997 he published the first\u00a0<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/h-j\/\"><sup>402<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup> of these, <em>D<\/em><em>as <\/em><em>E<\/em><em>rbe von <\/em><em>A<\/em><em>tlantis, <\/em>which he revised and republished in 2001. The second <sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/h-j\/\"><sup>676<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>, deals with Edgar Cayce\u2019s contribution to the Atlantis question. The third volume endeavours to support the idea that Atlantis was the cradle of civilisation <sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/main-bibliography\/h-j\/\"><sup>677<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n<p>On October 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2010, Horn and his colleague, the late <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/beier-bernhard\/\">Bernhard Beier<\/a>, launch an important website, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/atlantisforschung-de\/\">Atlantisforchung.de<\/a><\/em><sup>(<\/sup><sup>b<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup><em>, <\/em>which has an extensive range of Atlantis-related articles.<\/p>\r\n<p>In 2016, Horn published <em>Atlantis: Ancient Myths, New Evidence<\/em> in German. His close friend, the late Bernhard Beier, had the unenviable task of writing a review of it for Atlantisforschung<sup>(e<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Horn has written extensively on a range of &#8216;fringe&#8217; subjects, UFOs, Mars, reincarnation, Freemasonry etc, etc. A flavour of his ideas can be gleaned from an interview he gave in March 2021<sup>(d<\/sup><sup>)<\/sup>. An English translation is available <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantipedia.ie\/samples\/archive-6851\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>However, for me, his most outlandish claims relate to Mars, where he has proposed that an ancient human civilisation has already been there!
