Alkyone
Alkyone in Greek mythology was a daughter of Atlas. Homer, in his story of Jason and the Argonauts, refers at length to Alcinous (Alkinoos) as the ruler of Scheria.
Daniel Fleck, who, among others, associated Scheria with Atlantis suggested therefore that Alkyone/Alcinous was a king of Atlantis(a). He suggested that Alkinoos was possibly Atlas, and so was the ruler of Atlantis.
It is more likely that two different characters are being discussed.
