Hocke, Manfred (t)

Manfred Leopold Wilhelm Hocke (1913-1995) was born in Graslitz (now Kraslice) in a German-speaking region of Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). In 1978 Hocke published a paper supporting the concept of Atlantis as a small continent in the Atlantic. He presented a range of evidence to support this contention but in reality his essay was just a reworking of Otto Muck’s ideas as found in his book, Alles uber Atlantis, published in 1976, twenty years after Muck’s death. Sadly, Hocke did not credit Muck as his source.
