Vigo Calanna, Lionardo
Lionardo Vigo Calanna (1799-1879) was an Italian poet, philologist and politician. He is described in the Italian Wikipedia as “one of the greatest scholars of Sicilian traditions and popular customs.” His enthusiasm for his subject led him to suggest Sicily as the home of Atlantis and a cradle of civilisation.
