John Foster Forbes (1889-1958) was a Scottish eccentric(a) who was fascinated by the Atlantis story, a subject on which he frequently lectured. He was firmly convinced[299][315] that Atlantis had been located in the Atlantic and was responsible for the spread of megalithic culture.
