September 2023.

Hi Atlantipedes,

At present I am in Sardinia for a short visit. Later we move to Sicily and Malta. The trip is purely vacational.

Unfortunately, I am writing this in a dreadful apartment, sitting on a bed, with access to just one useable socket and a small Notebook. Consequently, I possibly will not be posting anything until we reach Malta. Apologies.

While here I’m reading a new book by Nicholas Costa, Atlantis, the Amazons and the Birth of Athene, that includes some very interesting, if controversial ideas. A fuller report will follow later.

As part of my process of disengagement from Atlantipedia, from June ’23 I shall be posting less frequently, rather than daily as I have done until now. Atlantipedia will remain online for the foreseeable future.

I want to thank everyone who has written to me over the past few months with complimentary expressions of support for the site.

I hope to have further announcements later in the year.

Atlantipedia will be wound down in 2023.

After nearly twenty years compiling Atlantipedia on my own, and as I am now approaching my 80th birthday, I have decided to cut back on the time I dedicate to developing this website. An orderly conclusion rather than an enforced one is always preferable before the Grim Reaper discovers my address.

From Christmas 2022, I shall update content less frequently, with my principal focus being on keeping web links up-to-date.  At the end of 2023, I shall review the situation. Then, if appropriate, the website and its content along with many hundreds of books (English) and thousands of papers will be available for sale. If a suitable buyer is not available, I may donate the entire package to a person or an institution.
